Bombs away
I just had a bomb dropped on me.
I took this job in part because I liked my would be boss, and since he'd been there for 4 years (stability by modern corporate standards) I liked coming into an established setting.
So today on my 8th day with the company, he announces his resignation as he's accepted a job in Austin. I have two weeks to learn it all, not only my job, but his as well...go!
This could very easily be good news as I will have an inside track at a serious promotion in record time, but the downside is this will be nuts for a while.
